In a 9-4 vote, the Los Angeles City Council recently approved a $26 million settlement paying more than 1,000 trash truck drivers for nine years of unpaid meal breaks. The settlement would give approximately $15,000 to each sanitation truck driver in the class action for alleged meal break violations by the city of Los Angeles.
